Kazakh Schoolboy has developed a game for IPhone

11 сентября 2014 года
A game created by 16-year-old schoolboy from Kazakhstan appeared on the App Store. The application called nukte is available for all Apple products. Game developer Nurym Kudaibergen told LS correspondent about how the idea of creating the product for iOS platform appeared. In March of this year his older brother advised him to apply for summer courses on creation of games on iOS platform. The idea was supported by parents and after application was approved teenager has been studying for programming in San Francisco during two months. "I played a lot in junior school and remembered «Audiosurf» of 2008. Exactly this was the further inspiration for nukte, although similarity between these games cannot be seen. We were taught programming language during first two weeks, and after making sense more or less got down to code the game that took next six weeks», — said N. Kudaibergen. According to his words the rules of nukte are simple enough: you should try to connect two dots of the same color that appear on your screen and you will get points for them. There are also dots of another color on the screen. While connecting with them player loses bonus points, life and time depending on the game mode. The game has two modes: Timed Mode - player is given 45 seconds to connect dots, so he is able to score more points. There are also power ups that you can use during the game. The second mode: Confusion Mode - the color of the dot to which you should connect will be indicated on top of the screen, for example - Orange. But the color of the text will be different, and object in spite of this, will connect to orange dot. There are 5 lives, each time one life is lost for an error. "When the game is ready for release, it is necessary to create so-called developer account, to consent to all contracts of Apple, and send it to test. Game is verified within 7-9 days, and if it meets all criteria, the company agrees to its addition to the App Store! It is not always pleasant process of waiting, but Apple keeps its standards. Since I am not 18 years old yet, my dad is written as a disclaimer", - said N. Kudaibergen. The game has already been downloaded by users and first positive reviews are present. According to N. Kudaibergen there were no individual costs for the game, as it was developed as part of training. Course fee is $ 5000. Since the project is not large-scale, the schoolboy does not think about finance. "For income the game should include advertising or in-game purchases. There is no advertising in my game, because I do not want to torture players too much, but purchases are available. There isa peculiar kind of course called nukte. At the end of each round you get just enough nukte according to how many points you get per round. Then you can buy power ups on nukte that help during the game, and if nukte are over, you can buy them for real money", - said N. Kudaibergen. He admitted that he does not know how to code games for Android, but will try to experiment and make version of nukte not only for Apple users.
